Home › Forums › The Diskussions-Amt › Forum Games › City chain!
This game is “inspired” by one in a different forum. The goal is to form a city chain, where each city starts with the last letter of the first one. As an example:
Milton Keynes -> Stuttgart -> St. Peter Ording
For this game we’ll define city as a settlement. This means it doesn’t need to officially be a city, it can be a town, village, or even part of a city. Examples would be:
Gestorf, Pasing, Riede
A valid city name can be the official government name, the colloquial name, or an abbreviation. As an Example: for the not state capital of Hessen following names would be valid:
Frankfurt(Main) [next letter ‘N’], Frankfurt [next letter ‘T’], FFM [next letter ‘M’]
In case of a city having different names in different languages, all of them are valid. Again, an example:
Aachen [next letter ‘N’], Aken [next letter ‘N’], Aix-la-Chapelle [next letter ‘E’]
If you wish to add additional information to a city (for whatever reason), please do so above or below the city name. As an example I’ll use Frankfurt:
Frankfurt (guess which one xd) X INVALID
Frankfurt
(guess which one xd) ✓ Valid, next letter ‘T’
If a city continuation is incorrect, the last correct city is used. One final example:
Trier -> Reading -> Rüsselsheim X (continue with ‘G’, not ‘M’)
Hope this clears up any questions, if not, feel free to ask ^^.
I guess I’ll start:
Neustadt an der Weinstraße
Emden
Naumburg
Görlitz
Zgorzelec
Hmm, that is quite smart :D.
For my city, I think I’ll go with:
Cardiff
Flensburg
Graz
Ziegenhain
Nysa
Anchorage
El Paso
Osaka
Atlanta
Austin
